hi there , you can find anything on the internet, but as i recall
regclean4.1a is not recommended to be used with win me. but off course you will find "it will properly work well with..."etc. etc. or (i have used it on my system with no problems). the registry is a dangerous place to go even if you know what you are doing (this includes using reg cleaners). and the original regclean (you know the one of the box wrapped in red ribbon is only for win 98, possibly others but not win me. i go into my registry occassionly because i like to live dangerously. but not with a regcleaner. after i uninstalled aol i went to regedit to delete all the leftover aol stuff. I have heard conflicting advice about RegClean-- some say it's OK to use on WIN ME, but at download.com, it does not list WIN ME on the list of compatible systems. Please advise--thanks. |
