System font and buttons currupted
Hi, everybody
I recently encountered an anoyying problem. After I visited some website, the system font and buttons are changed. Specifically, the system font on desktop(but font on taskbar remains normal) is changed into a smaller but bold font whicjh is hard to read, so is the font in the treeview and list view of the file explorer(font in the menu bar remains normal). Another problem which occured concurrently with the font problem is that some system button look wierd. For example the window resizing buttons(hiding, closing) are displayed with stranged icons, the closing button should be a cross, but now it displays a number. So is the scrolling bar control, instead of displaying the arrow, it displays number. The radio button and check box in dialogues(even in some web page)are replaced with starnged bitmaps. I know that it must be that the system resources like font and buttons are disrupted. I've tried system restore, but it doesn't fix the problem. and I don't want to reinstall system and other application software all over again. I wonder if anybody know how to recover this. IS there anyway to set up or change the system font and buttons? Any input will be deeply appreciated. Sincerely Jackie |

Did you check your font settings?
Those would be under Start Settings Control Panel Display Appearance tab wrote in message ... Hi, everybody I recently encountered an anoyying problem. Hi, eric
I actually tried that. It only changed the font of the taskbar and window menu bars etc. It has no effect on the font on desktop as well as those in explorer. Thanks for your tip though. -----Original Message----- Did you check your font settings? Those would be under Start Settings Control Panel Display Appearance tab wrote in message ... Hi, Mike
It was amazing that you helped me fix the problem. It works. In my case, I only need to delete the tempary file Ttfcache under Windows folder.
