Default Outlook Express size limit?

Does anyone know if Outlook Express 6 in WinME has a size
limit? A system I'm working on for a friend seems to have
a limit of just over 700 megs, then it automatically
deletes mail to make more room, or at least that's what I
think is happening... can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

Use multiple local folders. There may well be a limit of 700MB on the size of
a single folder. From your comment it appears that your friend is leaving all
their incoming and/or outgoing post in their Inbox and Sent Items folders. In
a word this is reckless. These two files are easily damaged and this could
well cause the problem you report. Instead create multiple local folders and
move to those folders the contents of the Inbox and Sent items folder possibly
sorting between folders using a filing scheme appropriate to the users mail
usage. I'm currently posting from a copy of Outlook Express with a message
store totalling around 1.4GB but the size of my Inbox and Sent Items folders
are each just a couple of hundred KB. My largest local folder is currently
around 170MB.
