Accidentally installed DirectX 8.0 BDA on a system with DirectX 9.0b
I had DirectX 9.0b on my system when I accidentally
installed DirectX 8.0 BDA. Will the installation mess up my system? Did DX8.0 BDA replace DX9.0b? I'll greatly appreciate someone's help. Thanks, Cherub |

I'm kind of surprised that was even allowed to happen. Why don't you just
reinstall DirectX 9.0b? Cherub wrote: I had DirectX 9.0b on my system when I accidentally installed DirectX 8.0 BDA. Will the installation mess up my system? Did DX8.0 BDA replace DX9.0b? I'll greatly appreciate someone's help. Thanks, Cherub |

To find out which version you have installed, go to Start/Run/type in
"dxdiag" without quotes./OK "Bill in Co." wrote in message ... I'm kind of surprised that was even allowed to happen. Why don't you just reinstall DirectX 9.0b? Enter dxdiag in the Start = Run box and see what version
is installed. If you need to remove DirectX, there is a link to a removal tool on this page: http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/Gaming.htm Eric, http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/ http://www.sharedbirthday.co.uk/ -----Original Message----- I had DirectX 9.0b on my system when I accidentally installed DirectX 8.0 BDA.
