Default mouse not working in safe mode

My mouse does not work in safe mode. Does anyone have any
thoughts on this?

Yep. If it's a USB mouse, it won't. Safe Mode doesn't load many drivers,
USB drivers being among them.

There may though be a setting in the BIOS that if enabled will allow a usb
mouse to be used when in Safe Mode.

I couldn't really find anything in the bios that i knew to
change to get the drivers to load. I do have a usb mouse.
I guess if i need to use safe mode the only thing to do is
work the best i can with the keyboard?

Look for a setting to enable "USB legacy" devices.

Either that, or buy a cheap PS/2 mouse to hook up when you need one in Safe
Mode.
