Wireless Card 802.11g for Windows 98
I have an 802.11b wireless card running on my Windows 98 laptop. I would
like to buy a card for 802.11.g. Most of the cards I have seen run Windows 98SE or later operating systems. Would a card supporting Windows 98SE also run on Windows 98? |

Would a card supporting Windows 98SE also run on Windows 98? Not necessarily. If the manufacturer doesn't specifically mention Win98 (original) then the device pretty surely hasn't been tested with it. It may work or it may not. It's also possible that it was tested with Win98 and failed and the manufacturer decided that Win98 was such a small part of his market that it didn't make sense to spend money to solve the problem. -- Tim Slattery MS MVP(DTS) http://members.cox.net/slatteryt |
