LOL!! Anytime Shane is involved, there is bound to be 'digs and hijinks* or
obscure references to things English.

Off to make my pickles.....want some? I look forward to your email, but
will not be back on here for about 4 hours. Slicing and dicing takes that
long. (G)

Cheers...Heather

I suspect not. :-) Me thinks Shane was maybe "having a dig" at Noel for
butting in on my thread. vbg

OT have just found an e-mail to you sitting in my Drafts folder that I had
thought I had sent last Sunday. Will try and finish it off in a bit and
actually send it this time.

OK, you two.....next time I come back to Jolly Olde!! They are my
grandmother's recipe (bread & butter pickles).....and so good that people
get down on their knees and beg for them!! Well, not quite that
dramatic......but Elayne always tucks a couple of jars of them in her carry
on at Xmas.

She is having a wonderful time in France btw......took 200 pictures with her
new digital camera in 4 or 5 days. First day there, she went to Notre Dame
in time to watch the Bomb Squad blow up a suitcase.....fun, whee!!

Cheers.....and back to work with me......Heather

Standard Noo Joisey meaning, Figgs, in the spirit of the Sopranos. Seemed
unlikely Noel would go to NJ for a cake without prior business. OTOH, he
could just be tokin in Hoboken.

Let me make a couple of points, Figgs.

One, I notice an apostrophe in front of 'digs', while, B, you have an
asterisk after 'hijinks'. And, thirdly, what on earth are 'bread and butter
pickles'???

She should go to the Pompidou and laugh at Picasso's "Woman with Guitar".
That goes down really well with the connoisseurs.

Shane...you are such a **** (fill in applicable word).....

I will tell her.......she who has a degree in Fine Arts.....as in *she IS an
artist*......ROFL!! But not sure how she feels about Picasso.

On the other hand, some of her paintings were weird like his. She did say
she would visit one particular part of the Louvre......can't remember which
one tho.

Our Noel?? tokin in Hoboken? Never. Now you on the other hand......

Bread & butter pickles are the best in the world.....but have no idea where
the name comes from. This is Granny's recipe.....and she was born in 1880.
Looks like I will have to send a sample.....frozen and airmail, grin.
