Default Put on 2nd hard drive, but wouldn't work....

As title suggests, i have a PC which stopped working, so though id connect both hard drives up on one, both were running win98SE, but one owuldn't work....though it was a bit strange, but then i thought 'you cant really just plug them both in and ecxpect it to work!', so took out the 2nd one, switched power back on, and now i have no drivers for my CD drive?

Tried fully reinstalling windows, as if i put a CD in it when u turn the power on, it will recognise it, but not when all booted up and ready to use......however, that didn't solve it!

Auto start doesn't work, D: has dissapeared, and all is not too good!

Any ideas what i can do now? The only intrernet access i have is at work, which wont allow any files to be saved anywhere (Even floppy...) so i cant download any drivers etc...

Cheers for any help!

Oh, and Belarc/Everest recogises there is a cd drive there....

When you put two hard drives on the same cable, you have to set the jumpers
on the drives so that one is master and the other is slave.

Start regedit on the problem computer, expand and highlight the following key
and look in the right window for "NOIDE". If you find it, delete it, then
restart the computer.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\VxD\IOS
