Default unicows.dll ??

Leaving it alone............
The new version came with the latest version of the "plain" Reader. Odd
that an older version would have installed with the WMP9, that I just put on
here a couple of months ago. Oh well, they work.
Thanks Mike......
Heirloom, old and still has two

I'd leave well alone. Thanks H for confirming that Adobe does install a

copy
of unicows.dll, as it should, which just leaves the question as to why

this
did not happen when Hue installed his copy of Acrobat.

unicows.dll v1.0.3626.0 - This is the version that ships with VS .NET

(2003)
unicows.dll v1.0.3665.0 - I don't know the origin of this version

although I
have a copy of this version that came as part of OE-QuoteFix. (3703

however
ships with Office 2003.)

I have the WMP9 and the new Adobe Reader, both in Program Files and both

Should I replace the older version in WMP with the newer from

Adobe?....or
just leave well enough alone, since everything is working just fine?!

Mike, when I searched for unicows.dll last night is showed
as being installed in Adobe but when I try to open up
Adobe I get the error message: "Unable to open
unicows.dll". Any thoughts/ Maybe remove and reinstall
Adobe Reader? Thanks!

Hue,

Ah, you didn't mention previously that Acrobat had installed a copy of
unicows.dll in its folders, just, I think, that you had a copy in the Windows
Media Player folder. So yes, if I were to be seeing the same problem here I
would certainly try uninstalling and then reinstalling Acrobat as the problem
seems to be more with Acrobat than that unicows.dll is missing.

Best of luck,
