NETBEUI Protocol - how can I tell if I'm using it?
I want to upgrade my home PC from Windows ME to Windows XP
Home Edition. The Upgrade Advisor says I won't be able to use NETBEUI on XP, as it's not supported. I don't understand enough about what NETBEUI is to know if that's a showstopper for me. How can I tell if I'm even using NETBEUI protocol. When I go to Control Panel, Network, the Primary Network Logon is Windows Logon. I'm not part of any network, and access the internet through cable (is that pertinent?) I'd appreciate any assistance. Thanks! |

Don't worry about it - you are not using NETBUI.
And, if you did, for some reason, the XP CD does have it as a separtae installation. "Allison C." wrote in message ... I want to upgrade my home PC from Windows ME to Windows XP Home Edition.
