Problems With DirectX 9.0b
I get error messages when changing channels with the ATI TV Tuner, MMC 7.0 after installing DirectX 9.0b in Windows 98 from the Microsoft Windows Update website. I am using the All-In-Wonder Radeon card, and original drivers and software from the ATI CD that came with it. DirectX 7.0 is automatically installed from the original ATI installation disk. After a clean Windows 98 installation, and installation of sound drivers and ATI drivers and software installation, everything works OK, but I would like to be able to update to DirectX 9.0 or current version if possible without any problems. I do not want to use newer ATI drivers/MMC because the DVD player hangs with later versions in Windows 98. This issue is not covered anywhere on the ATI web site. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kevin |
