Can't recognize Operating System
All of the sudden my Compac Presario laptop shut down.
I can't get it to boot even in safe mode. It gives me a message(sometimes) one of my drives should have been partitioned, or it could be a virus... I can't boot with the startup floppy and I am wondering if it isn't the right floppy. My Windows ME came loaded in my computer when I bought it. I don't have a OS CD. Comp USA wants to charge me so much just to look at it. I don't have that kind of money, Thanks for any help you can give me. |

Make sure that you have a Win 95/98/Me Start-up disk. type C:\windows\win if no success type C:\windows\options\install\setup.exe or C:\windows\options\cabs\setup.exe if you can't find product key, tye edit and search for a file called serial.txt or other file that might contain it. |
