Default Can't recognize Operating System

All of the sudden my Compac Presario laptop shut down.
I can't get it to boot even in safe mode.
It gives me a message(sometimes) one of my drives should have been
partitioned, or it could be a virus...
I can't boot with the startup floppy and I am wondering if it isn't the
right floppy.
My Windows ME came loaded in my computer when I bought it. I don't have a OS
CD.
Comp USA wants to charge me so much just to look at it.
I don't have that kind of money, Thanks for any help you can give me.

Make sure that your PC BIOS settings are set the boot your PC from floppy
before from hard disk.
Make sure that you have a Win 95/98/Me Start-up disk.
type C:\windows\win
if no success type C:\windows\options\install\setup.exe or
C:\windows\options\cabs\setup.exe
if you can't find product key, tye edit and search for a file called
serial.txt or other file that might contain it.
