Default Ethernet Controller?

Was going to work on Start menu from the other thread on this computer, but
another issue came up.

I am starting to configure a DUN configuration, Network was showing TCP/IP
and several other usual entries and a icon, no description. Properties said
it was for NT??? so I removed it. It said reboot, then asked for files on
W98 disk, it would not search there, I finally canceled and booted normal.
I looked in DM, I see question mark for 3Com PCI Eternet Controller. I
deleted it as I use DUN.

Now every reboot, it finds that PCI controller as new hardware and
reinstalls it, asking for files.

Advice?

Another issue: On initial BIOS screen, I see MBA- Managed PC Boot Agent.

What is this?
