Default connecting problems 98 -> xp

Hello

I have a little problem connecting one computer in windows 98 to another in
windows XP.

It worked fine during one year, but now i have the following troubles :

I can map a drive but it's impossible to open, copy or paste any files. The
share settings are correct, since it worked during one year and no changes
were made on both computer.

Does anyone have an idea to find a solution. Is it the cable ?

Thanks a lot for your help

Eric

I'm struggling with similar problems myself - you may have seen my post just
below yours! I'm no expert but could it be a firewall which XP SP2 might
have turned on, or have you bought e.g. Norton Internet Security lately?
