Default SCSI controller - 'code 10'

Hi,
Hope someone can help?
Have a problem - my system started in safemode so I restarted it but the
display had altered (ghost-like and colours altered but settings unchanged).
Looked in Device manager and have the yellow exclamation mark under "SCSI
Controllers" for "DMX3181X ISA SCSI Host Adapter" (other listed is for
EPPSCSI miniport driver - all ok). Under resources tab says code 10 - device
drivers either not present or not working properly.
Have searched everywhere to reinstall but can't find the original driver in
my system.
Anyway, is this affecting the display or is this 'host adapter' only related
to my scanner? I'm confused!
I need to get my display happening again and can't. Where can I get new
drivers for that and what info do you need to help? Many thanks for any
assistance.

Open the folder and double-click everest.exe to run the application.

If you are not sure what next step to take, other than
downloading/installing from the manufacturers support site per their
instructions.
Click the + next to Computer.
Click Summary.
On the menu bar click Report Quick Report-Summary Plain text.
Save to your desktop and close Everest.

Open the report on the desktop.
Delete everything from Debug on down to the bottom of the page and save.
Press CTRL+A to select all.
Press CTRL+C to copy and close out.

Look in device manager under Display adapters. What is the name of the
adapter? If it's a generic VGA then you need to find out the hardware
installed in the machine in order to locate the drivers you need. There's a
utility here that can identify it:

Hi Brian,
apologies for not replying sooner - haven't been able to access the site for
weeks and microsoft said this site was no longer in operation....well, here
you are! (thank goodness)

I am about to download the following (see below) and assume I need a 4-in1
as the others are only audio drivers?
It states to remove current drivers before downloading - do I just go into
Device Manager and remove the drivers listed under audio/video or am I meant
to remove the entire 'motherboard drivers' listed somewhere (where?) I can
only see 'motherboard resources' listed under "system devices" in DM, but
surely this isn't everything associated with the new driver?
Sorry this is dragging on, but I really need your assistance and appreciate
your patience - thanks Brian!

You do not have to remove anything prior to download, you need to
uninstall the present drivers prior to installing the updated drivers.

The drivers to uninstall depend on the drivers you are
re-installing/updating.
For the Video drivers uninstall the drivers in DM under Display/Video
Adapters. Also afterwards have a look in Control Panel Add/Remove
Programs for anything related to the video adapter/chip.

For the Audio drivers in DM look under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.

Your best bet is to boot to Safe mode and remove any/all instances of the
drivers for Video and Sound, reboot and when Windows redetects them point
to the folder with the new drivers as the place to install them from.
