Increase drive letters
Could do with a bit of help please as I am several thousand miles from home
and my books to tell me how to solve this problem are back there. Trying to upgrade an old Dell Pentium 3 machine which has been given to my son and daughter in law. I want to put on an additional hard drive. Have done so and it is visible in the BIOS and Windows Device Manager, but it will not show up in Windows My Computer. Have gone into the Control Panel to try and assign a drive letter but this is grayed out. I am guessing Dell have set the maximum number of drives at 3, which is has fitted. I recall it is possible to change this but cannot remember how to do it. Any pointers or help gratefully received. - Lansbury www.uk-air.net FAQs for the alt.travel.uk.air newsgroup |
