Default Trouble installing software for wireless adapters

Posted this in Wireless Networking but I thought it might do me some good to
post it here too.

I am trying to install a Belkin wireless USB adapter onto Windows ME and I
have previously tried to install an Intellilink USB adapter. I get the same
problem with each installation of the drivers & software.

Each time I try to install it constantly comes up with error messages about
..rra files that cannot be created. It does this about 50% through the
installation.

The files that won't install on the Belkin F5D7050 USB Adapter a
GTW3be08.rra
GTNDfa7f.rra
GTND3b35.rra
GTW3bb49.rra

After the last file comes up with an error message, the entire installation
process stops. Is there any way to get these rra files to create and stop
bringining up error messages?

I've tried Belkin support but they insist that it's a Windows problem.

Thanks in advance!

Yes and the program crashed because it couldn't find a file needed to run it
while in Safe Mode.

The program runs in regular mode, but these error messages keep it from
completing.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

The only other thing I could suggest is to try again with Belkin.......ALL
vendors are first to blame Microsoft, then they fix their crap. If you
don't get any satisfaction from their support, simply tell them you will be
returning their product for a refund and switch to another maker. Belkin is
not the only one that makes the product, nor, are they the best. Let us
know how you fare.
Heirloom, old and hate it when they do
that

The fact that files can't be created suggests that they are trying to write
to a folder which either doesn't exist or is marked as read-only - are there
any details as to which folder this is?
