Default Internet Explorer 6 is not loaded

Hello,

after a power crash, on my PC running WinME I cannot load IE6 anymore.
I select the icon and simply nothing happens.

I do not have the CD with IE6 as I had 5.5 preinstalled and then made
the upgrade from WindowsUpdate Microsoft site.

Is there anything I can do to recover its functionality?
Or shall I reinstall it? But in this case where to download the program
to install?

Thanks :-)
Kind regards

Hello,

just tryed to do the System Restore, but it doesn't work. Seem to make
something, but after the PC is restarted, there is the message that
System restore was not good.

Any further suggestion?

Hi,

no way to reinstall IE. But I tried one more time the system restore
you suggested earlier, this time in "provisional mode" (do not know
which is exact definition in English - however pressing F8 at boot) and
this time it worked.

Thanks again.

Does this mean the problem was solved with a system restore?

Great!
