Default Epson EPL-6000 poor driver in windows, no other available

I recently had to upgrade my printers memory board to 4 MB from 512k because
of 1/2 page printing occurring due to lack of memory. That fixed, I only come
to realise, that windows ME, along with older windows drivers only have the
memory selection for that printer up to 2.5 mb. Where is the other 2
at???(EPL-6000 holds 4.5 max.) Cannot find a driver anywhere else for this
printer, as I quote "windows driver should be as currant as one could find."
Maybe, but not up to par I think. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks

The latest drivers available from Epson appear to be for Win 98 - so they
must have stopped supporting it.

You could try installing those drivers (they may work) - just make sure that
you have created a System Restore point before the attempt!

This printer emulates the HP LJ2. See

for details and recommended driver settings.
