Scan your system with an up to date antivirus program. If yours is
not up to date or not functioning attempt an online scan here :

http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

Then go here and have your system scanned for spy|ad|malware :

Do you have parasites
http://www.aumha.org/a/noads.htm

If you can not access the above due to IE issues, download these
tools/programs (even if you can access the above, GET these tools):

Stinger
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

CWShredder
http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.php#cws

AdAware (get AdAware, it's free)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Click the Help button when you first run it to learn how to
configure it to best scan the system. Click the Globe icon to obtain
the latest definition files. DO THIS prior to using it at any time.
Their support forum is here :

Spybot
http://safer-networking.org

READ the Tutorial FIRST :
http://safer-networking.org/index.php?page=tutorial

LSP Fix
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

This tool will repair any damage done to the Winsock stack (the
"connection" to the internet) if you find that in removing the
parasites the Winsock stack has become damaged.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Now boot to Safe Mode and run the tools in the order listed :

How to Start a Windows 98-Based Computer in Safe Mode
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=180902

Then do a repair of Internet Explorer, in Safe Mode, after the
system is determined to be clean of parasites :

Description of the Internet Explorer Repair Tool
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=194177
-----------------------------------------------------------

Use LSP Fix if you have an issue connecting to your ISP or when
browsing the internet.
-------------------------------------------------------------

To prevent this occurrence in the future, download and install
Spyware Blaster :
