Default 2 beeps on POST

I'm helping a friend with his computer; he couldn't get
to desktop 'cuz it would stop at message: "IOsubsys
driver subdirectory corrupted or system low on memory."
(not exact). After reinstalling his W98 OS, I was trying
to do sys maintenance, and found an IOsubsys folder in
the Recycle bin. (I left it there for now.) He said he
might have put it there by mistake. Also, I cleaned it
out (canned air), then when I went to continue working on
it, I got the double beep on POST. I will check tomorrow
for loose boards, etc. but I'm trying to find out what
the 2 beep means. Also, on reinstall, it gave msg
about C:\WINDOWS\system\bridge.dll Cannot find file
specified. Is this a valid file or just a spyware/trash
file?? (I saw this file in another computer come up
after a NAV scan, identified as adware.) Any help
appreciated!!!

-You most likely unseated the RAM, or possibly the video card, when you =
were cleaning the case interior. Beep codes vary depending on what =
brand BIOS is in the machine...see he
http://www.amptron.com/html/beepcode.html

-The C:\Windows\System\iosubsys folder is needed to start and run =
Windows.

-bridge.dll...part of WinFavorites adware. Get rid of it following the =
manual procedures he
