Heather, noblewoman of
Galicia. Thanking her majestic dipersal of the most noble of GIFs.

Your properly respectful reply is pleasing to this noblewoman of
Galicia (Madwoman of Chaillot?).....and I will have a look later,
LOL!! Sra. Figglet

Still waiting :-)

Happy Mother's Day (USA Holiday) Heather !

Oops.....been alternately out doing volunteer stuff or yelling at
Sympatico Customer Service, grin.

Figgs,

You should volunteer to yell at Sympatico Customer Service.

If you need a free news server that you can post with, I am using one
now. aioe.org I believe. Check my headers. I can send you a link.
Seems to be not too bad.

Not a bad idea, Heather.
The full name is "nntp.aioe.org", using ports 119 and 563 (SSL).
No username or password required, but limited to 25 messages per day. I say:
*go for it*.

Harry.

I AM using it, Harry. It has its fits and starts at times, but better
than Google Groups for the 3 or 4 I need. There are others out there
that are read only, but this one seems OK.

Used it back in January too.......when Rogers dumped Usenet.

Any group in particular, Figgs?
At the moment I'm looking at "atl.general".
Something new, for a change.

Harry.

Thanks for that Heather I'll look into it, just had a phone call from my
local shop and apparently the ISP hasn't stopped doing ng's and they have
an engineer working on it to see what the problem is and he will phone me
back.

Just set it up to use until my regular setup gets sorted out and it is OK,
but will probably only need it until my ISP sort out whatever problem
there is at their end g
