HI,

I am now trying McAfees Spam killer which so far has proved to be the
best and most successful spam blocker I have used.....I found that mail
washer seemed to slow my system right down and sometimes caused it to
crash and found that I had to frequently check my emails at least
twice...to make sure I didn't miss any genuine ones....

I too tried MailWasher, and it caused my system to crash out of the blue.
I never had the problem before, and after I uninstalled it as a test, I
did not have any more problems with crashes. I have heard of others who
had the same problem, and read many like problems in other AV, Windows
and such ng's and forums too.

For some reason, it does not work well with all systems.

her to pay no attention to the 'experts' on a.c.a.v......they are trying to
lead her astray (which shouldn't be too hard to do, grin)......now I am
going to hear from her too.

Oi!! - don't mock the afflicted!g

(BTW - I thought I'd weaned Jan off NAV? - I'd be prepared to put money on
it that that's the source of the problems if she's got that installed)
