Local Printer Conflict With Network Printers << Help Needed !
Please Help
Im running a couple of Win98SE Pc's on a network , together with a Novell Netware 3.12 Print server. On the print server there is 3 printers connected , shared to all workstations. I'm trying to install a Lexmark 1020 printer on one of the Win98SE pc's onto a local port. If i do not log onto the network , the printer functions normally. If i do connect on to the network , the network printers are routed towards LPT1 LPT2 LPT3 , and that is where the conflicts starts , as my local printer is connected onto LPT1 on my local Pc. Is there a way to rename the local LPT1 to say LPT4 ??? Or anny other way to install the printer ??? I only need to print from windows based programs to the New local printer. I also use DOS based programs on my Novell Server , but they only need to print to the network printers . Anny Ideas ??? Thank you !!! |
