PS2 mouse on serial adapter
Hello
I have a ps2 mouse attached to a serial adapter as the system is old and i do not have a ps2 port. I am almost sure there was an issue with this in that some PS2 mice are not compatible with serial adapters. Does anyone else know of this issue. I would appreciate any help at all. I can be replied to at thank you all |

If you post your email address in the newsgroup it will be harvested by
spammers and viruses. Not all PS2 mice are compatible with the serial adapter, but if yours is working OK you can ignore the problem. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Leigh Brash" wrote in message ... Thankyou
I had kinda thought that. I had a mouse with adapter when 95 was on here..updated to 98se and it worked for a while. i then bought this mouse and still not working..then tried a new adapter...nope...i then added a true serial mouse and it was fine. I tried it on some other systems and it would not work...i thank you again for all your help and your sound advice ..unfortunately the mouse was not mine and i am now stuck with a new ps2 mouse and a serial adapter lol...ahh such is life.. -----Original Message----- If you post your email address in the newsgroup it will be harvested by spammers and viruses. I think it's a pretty good rule that a PS2 mouse that will work with the
serial adapter will be supplied with the adapter as part of the package. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Leigh" wrote in message ... Thankyou I had kinda thought that.
