Default HOT MESS: No Recovery Disc / No WME Support

I bought an HP Desktop computer in November 2000 pre-loaded with Windows ME.
Recently, the bootable partition has gone bad and the entire thing crashed.
I contacted HP, who told me that they do not make a recovery disc anymore per
the licensing agreement of Microsoft and Microsoft told me since they quit
offering support for ME in 2006 that they cannot help me either. Anyone else
have a good idea?

You say the boot partition has gone bad and it's crashed, what actually
happened, do you get any error messages, what happens when you try to boot.

Try to give us a little more details about the situation and it may be
possible for someone to help you regain control of your system.

The only other thing I could think of is seeing if you can get a copy of
WinME from eBay.
