Windows Explorer trying to access internet
Lately when I start windows Me I get a request via ZoneAlarm to allow
Windows Explorer to access the internet. The IP quoted is IP.23.255.255.250. Is this legit? Also AVG has started to crash out to the 'blue screen' before completing (a convenient way of avoiding reporting a virus). Is AVG (database 475) suspect? I've used google on the IP address and there are a number of people asking what this IP is all about. Unfortuneately most of the posts are not in English so I can only read a few and they are very technical. All I can make out is that the IP is based in California. Am I right in thinking that Windows Explorer is used basically to run my PC and has no need to connect to the outside world? |
