Question of the need for passport.

When I turn my computer on I have msn messenger loading right of way.

I see the sign in feature on the microsoft internet browser indicating that
I am not signed in when I proceed to surf...

decide to go to microsoft community and asks to log in ... still doesnt
provide my passport or password even though I click to remember these
settings and yet have to goto the home page as it doesnt allow me to sign in..

goto my home page .. log in and go back to community... why?

I have noticed a similar stupidity. I discovered that the problem goes away
if you set up MSN Messenger to log-in automatically (and to remember your
passord). The login/password webpage on MS's site doesn't seem to respond
if MSN Messenger is not FIRST logged in

Hope this helps.

Well I have that on already as the messenger loads on start up.

Wierd about the internet explorer. Although, this time when I come to this
site and reply to this message I didnt have to sign in... and it certainly
wasnt because I came through hotmail.

As mentioned, the other day I had to exit and sign in on the homepage ...
couldnt use any link at all on this site to reply to a message.
