Default CW Shredder ??

Hi,
I used to use CW Shredder but they stopped updating so I no longer used the
site.
However, out of curiousity, I checked today and it advises that the program
has been sold and to click for a free download from the new site.
Has anyone had any experience with the "new" version
Thanks
Trevor

Wondering if you have an old link bookmarked. CWShredder is still alive
and well, owned by Intermute since about October 2004. The current
version is V2.12.

You can download from:-
http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract..._download.html

It is only 454 Kb.

Yes, avoid version 2 of CWShredder, it is rumored that it has begun to
mess with the registry in non-necessary ways for unknowable reasons
(see new owners about that?).

Where do you see these rumours, Lee? I have not seen any problems with it.

I got it from Intermute, and seems ok, nothing found. However I just copied
the .exe file separately from the download.

annoyances.org 98 group had one post with listed 'new' registry info
that showed up after running the new version. Of course that was not
confirmed so it must be treated as a rumor. Last I knew their search
engine didn't work so you can't search the threads for it and it was
about a month ago I saw that and that means some heavy wading to get to
it. Sorry I didn't save a link to it now.
