Outlook Express Error

Using Outlook Express and been having the following error message for over a
month. Sometimes I can send other times I'm out of luck. Anyone know of a
fix?

"An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800C0131"

First, try compacting all your folders:

If no joy, close OE. Navigate to your message store
(http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files....htm#storemain) and delete
Folders.dbx. Consequences of doing so: You will lose the mail tree
structure, all lists of newsgroups, and all synchronization options, and
that message rules will likely need to be edited.

Don't use Inbox or Sent Items to archive messages. Move them to local
folders created for this purpose.

Disable Background Compacting [N/A in SP2] and frequently perform a manual
compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/files/maintain.htm.

Your anti-virus application's email scanning feature can also cause such
corruption. Disable it. It provides no additional protection.
