Default Jpg to Bmp

Is this the correct group for this question?

I have a Jpg which I want to turn into a Bmp and edit its
pixels.
I have done this by renaming the file and swapping the extension from jpg to
bmp. Next I want to change the pixels from 768x1024 to 120x120 of which i
used the attributes in Paint. I then re-saved it
but each time I open it it opens with the original pixel size, have I done
something wrong?
I am trying to make it my OEMLogo.bmp which is placed in my Windows/sysems
folder.

regards Jane

Thank you.
It took a combination of 3 programs to do it. I had to download 2 more.
Irfanview took care of one problem, Acdsee took care of another, and
ABCimage finished off the rest.
It was one of the most gruelling 4 hours I have spent to do just one thing.

regards Jane

Hi,

You must have done it the hard way. Really, Irfanview could have done it
all in a few minutes, tops. Open a jpg, rename & save it as a bmp,
edit/crop/resize the bmp, save it. Done.
