Default how to setup win98 while keep data?

Hi, I have a computer with hard disk partitioned to C and D, with data on D.
When I tried to install win98, it insists to remove all partition, this
means the data on D will lost. Is there anyway can install win98 without
delete data on D?
thanks!

Windows 98 Setup will not do any partitioning--but some "Restore CD" =
types will. It would be good to know *exactly* what you are working =
with. What make/model machine, what the CD(s) look like, etc.

You *may* be able to Hide the D partition using BootIt NG from =
www.bootitng.com. Not sure whether the setup procedure you're using =
gives you a picture of what it intends to delete before it actually does =
so. If it does, then you can verify that it isn't seeing your D =
partition before actually proceeding.

Another option is to first see if you have *all* of the Windows Setup =
files already located on your hard drive, usually in =
C:\Windows\Options\CABS. If there are several dozen files named =
WIN98_xx.CAB, where xx is a number, *AND* you have a Setup.exe file in =
the same folder, you can boot to a Windows Startup floppy disk, then =
simply delete everything else on C:\ except that folder (or better yet, =
copy it to D:\) Then run Setup from that point.
