cna not seem to install my office 2003 with windowsME
I was told ms offfice 2003 would run on ME

You were apparently misinformed and seemingly haven't read the system
requirements written on the outside of the box. No part of Microsoft Office 2003 can be installed on Win Me or any PC running a Win 9x operating system.
