Keyboard doesn't respond after a while using command prompt.
When I start my pc and pressing F8 I can get into the command prompt.
But after a while the system hangs ,mostly when I use (to open files) the dos editor "edit" or after writing some commands (they don't appear on the sceen) my usb keyboard doesn't respond it seems. This could become a big problem if I have to reinstall Windows. Please try to help ,this is really so annoying. |

You are familiar with DOS utilities (e.g. EDIT, created approx. 1980) but it is in your interest to find whether Windows utilities (e.g. WORDPAD created 1990) meet your needs better. 2. Reinstallation of Win98 seems likely to cure your problems. Read http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/w98_restore.html on how to do it. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

Keyboard doesn't respond after a while using command prompt.
The reason why I sometimes use the "commant prompt only"
option is because some files can only be cahnged using the the F8 option on start. "Don Phillipson" schrieb: "win98" wrote in message ...
