pattern on WIN98 screen
The last few days I have been getting a herringbone type pattern on
highlighted icons and around the edge of open windows. Then when I shut down windows the whole screen is covered with it during shutdown. Using WIN98SE on this machine for a long time, this is a recent change. Have upto date antivirus and have run some antispyware software and don't find anything. But still suspect it has something to do with adware or spyware. Anyone else seen this and know of cause and solution? Thanks ron |

If you suspect it is caused by virus or spyware then you need to run some
tougher protection software to find and remove the culprit. Otherwise, replace your components one by one until the problem disappears. Do the monitor first, because that's probably simpler, then do the video adapter card. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "dresdenron" wrote in message ...
