Default Cannot open My Computer

When I attempt to open My Computer or My Documents, I get
an Explorer error referring to MSHTML.DLL. I have just
finished reformatting the hard drive, reinstalling WinME
and all updates and refreshing antivirus and spyware
software.

What to do???

What did you do AFTER you last knew that My Comp. and My Docs. worked?

Perhaps a couple of uninstalls (virusware and antispyware utils) and a
couple of SR's might bring it back.

I simply transferred some backup files from a Zip Cart
into the My Documents folder. I had the My Docs folder
backed up for the reformat. Now I can't seem to sift
through it cuz it won't open.

Did you try a System Restore?

No. I didn't think System Restore would be an option
because I had just reformatted the hard drive and was in
the process of reinstating the personal data into the My
Documents folder. I'll check and see if a Restore Point
is available. Thanks.

If you are still struggling, try searching the MS Knowledge Base for
"MSHTML.DLL" under Windows Millennium Edition - Exact phrase option.

There are five items there, one of which *may* apply to your installation.
Did you update IE by any chance? - You *may* need to repair it.
