lost and confused ..............

help i am computer illiterate and dont know how to fix
this message that comes on my screen during startup it
says something about the system ini file points to a file
that is not present and at the bottom of the screen it
says something about a nwlink.vxd hit any key
to continue -----------------i hit the space bar
and it than load my computer i was wondering if any
one knows what this means if so i would greatly
appreciate it thank you if you do know or can shed some
light on the subject pleze email me thank you

If nwlink.vxd is the *only* file named as missing, in the error message, extract it
from your Windows CD (or from the .cab file location on your hard drive), to the
Windows\System folder, using the "Extract one file" option of System File Checker
(SFC).
