Default Fatal error OE@0028;FFBF@EFFA

My daughters computer has generated this and another
fatal error message OE@0028;C0001751 VxD---

Now when she boots up, it only comes up in DOS mode.
This problem started after installing Yahoo DSL.

The knowledge base and error message base have nothing
about this error message. Is this a compatibility
problem or a problem with how the DSL was installed?

They have an older model IBM with a max on RAM of 312.
Is this the problem?

Should I tell her to get a new computer and make this the
kids game computer or is this fixable?

Thanks for the help any of you can give.
Susan
