Default Starting Problem

My computer wont start. It prompts that I
should "SCANREG".When I try in safe-mode, it goes only
upto where there is "Safe Mode" written on four corners
and blank screen, that is it. I dont have bootup disk,I
tried with my Windows ME cd did not work. I even tried re-
install Windows ME, but same problem. Would somebody pl.
let me know how to "SCANREG" without bootup disk if
possible or can I get bootup disk from somewhere? Thanks.

You can download a WinMe boot disk making utility from www.bootdisk.com

Be sure to read the instructions!!

BTW - the command you need to type is scanreg /restore at the A:/ prompt

The space between the g and / is essential
