Default Connecting Win98 and XP Home

Hi,
I ve got a wireless laptop running xp home and a desktop
running win98 wired. i've got guest acount turned on and
ICF disabled i see both computers in my network places but
cannot acces desktop from laptop and get an error saying
"desktop i s not accessable. you might not have permission
to use this network resource...." I cant see laptop on the
desktop it only shows the desktop.
any help would be apriciated thanks.
