internet explorer 6

Ever since I installed internet explore 6 from the
microsoft update, I keep getting intermittent messages
that disconnect me from the internet explorer. the message
is something like - "Microsoft Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
the inconvenience. Please send the error report ...."

What am I supposed to do as it really interrupts and
disrupts my actions, and does not really do anything about
the error reports. One would have thought that some action
on this error report would have been taken to sort it out
for me. Please help.
