Finally got this newsgroup working via the Eternal September server
Well, I finally got the Windows 98 general newsgroup working via
signing up for Eternal September and then searching the Eternal September main groups and finding you have to hit the refresh tab on Mozilla Thunderbird for all the newsgroups to show up after you have logged in via a secure connection. I have noticed that there is still some traffic here but it has dropped quite a bit since the Microsoft server discontinued the newsgroup. I was able to view the newsgroup via the web but posting was a challenge now solved.

I just prefer Usenet sometimes over web-based forums. -- Jason
