You can't--you need a graphics viewer. Irfanview: A very good freeware
graphics viewer: http://www.irfanview.com/

For automatic rotation, I use Webshots v. 1.3.0.3826 I've no intention of
going past since I tried the Beta and did not like it. One thing though,
the webshots collections adds overhead to the file type.

Xnview on the other hand v. 1.68.1 is a graphic manipulator, batch renamer
among other things and while it cannot do a screen saver, unless you get
the deluxe version, or cycle through wallpapers, it can do a slide show.
On any pic, whether opened or in preview, you can right-click and choose:

Set as Wallpaper, then choose "Best Fit to Desktop".
