Default SATA HDs WinMe

Will all the utilities at present installed on
IDE hard disk work on new type SATA
hard disk?
Or better to look for the ide type to replace
the present one?

Advice is appreciated.

You may encounter difficulties, AAH, but here's one possible way to get
around it:

I can only answer this from the logical point of view:
With compatibility being established it should work without reinstallation.
To be sure, you would have to contact the manufacturer.
