MS cordless optical mouse issues
I got a new wireless optical mouse with IntelliPoint 5.0
software. Unfortunately, this software doesn't work with Windows 98SE. I got the mouse to work through the USB port all right, but when I right click on the mouse icon in the system tray it acts as if the Logitech is still there (I did not uninstall the Logitech software) - any suggestions from someone with a bigger head than me? Should I uninstall the Logitech software? Does this Logitech software actually work with the MS mouse? What features of this MS mouse am I missing without the IntelliPoint software? Is there any other software that might work with this mouse? Is there any way to get it to be compatible with my operating system?Seems bogus to release such a nice product with limited utility - at least it works as a basic mouse. Yeah it's a lot of questions for free help but can't seem to get any free email support from Microsoft (big surprise, eh!) |
