Default Windows 98 printer sharing

I have following problem on printer sharing on Win98.

First machine with Win98:
1) I have printer HP LaserJet III, attached to a machine having Win98.
2) I have enabled "Printer and File Sharing" on Win98 machine.
3) Win98 machine is connected to LAN hub for internet connection.
4) When I ping WinXP machine, from Win98 machine, it times out and ping is
not successful.

Second machine:
5) I have another machine Fujitsu Laptop having WIn Xp on it.
6) I have enabled "Netbios on TCP/IP" on this machine.
7) WinXP machine is connected to same LAN hub for internet connection
8) I can ping Win98 machine from my this WinXP machine .
9) I tried to add Network printer, and let browse option to find the Network
printer, but it cant find the printer connected to win98.

Now since I cant add the netwrok printer on winXP machine, I am lost what
could be the problem, since also my ping of WinXP machine from Win98 machine
is not successful.

Any help and advise will be highly appreciated.

Thankyou so much for reading and suggesting the solution
