msconfig will not open
Glen,
I tried Alan's ideas (other message on same topic that I saw after I posted this) I tried but could not open it from the actual file under window/system. Then I used my CD and extracted the file but nothing happens. It must be corrupt . I thought extracting it from the CD would overwirte it but it did not work. any other ideas? shelley -----Original Message----- What happens when you try? -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "Shelley" wrote in message ... Shelley,
No real idea what is going on here but have you tried deleting Msconfig.exe and then extracting a new copy? (It shouldn't make any difference, but won't hurt) Exactly what happens when you double-click the file itself? (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSCONFIG.EXE) Do you have a problem launching any other .exe files? ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/index.html In microsoft.public.win98.apps, "Shelley" wrote: Glen, I tried Alan's ideas (other message on same topic that I saw after I posted this) I tried but could not open it from the actual file under window/system.
