Where can I find a newer version of SCSI1HLP.VXD than the
one that is on this computer?
The version that I have is SCSI1HLP.VXD Version 4.10.1998.
I am having trouble with this file when I update my ASPI
layer, and a program that I need and use all the time
tells me that this file is to old, and it can not use the
ASPI Layer.

Didn't that program come with a newer version of that file? If you
can't just copy the one file, you can try reinstalling the whole
program. Have you searched the web for a place to download a newer
version? Don't throw away your old version. Rename it or put it in
another directory.

I've seen this file name before. I used to get the Blue
Screen of Death when trying to play a CD. I was
instructed by Compaq tech support to search for the file
named "SCSI1HLP.vxd" and rename it "SCSI1HLP.old" and
after I did that and rebooted, I never had the Blue Screen
of Death again when trying to read a CD. You might try
renaming your file with the extension ".old" and see if
that helps. Good luck to you.
