MSCONFIG
Scan Registry, IST Service, Welcome, AolAcsDaemon1 and
America Online 9.0 Tray Icon are files shown to be active on the Startup tab on Msconfig Utility. By their name, most can be thought of what they may be about, but I haven't the slightest idea of what IST Service is or what its purpose might be. This File is present with Windows98 or Windows98SE. I am currently using Windows98SE. AolAcsDaemon1 is also confusing. Presumably, the System Resources could be increased if it were possible to deactivate some or all. Can anyone give me some insight of what I am dealing with? Thank you in advance. |
