Didn't mean to leave you hang with this, but my reference was to a
particular region near you, Quebec if I'm not mistaken, where they
planned on opening a store. It was mentioned only once in the news on my
screen.
Not all that important either, since you already have so many of them.
Their stores with merchandise and prices are good, without question.
Now I have to get back to the chicken...witch is not really true, but
usable as an excuse. H.

OH......well, first of all Quebec is a good 7 hour drive from Toronto. I
could probably make it to your house in the same time span (G).

In a Ferrari perhaps?
Now that you mention it, I remember you talking about Toronto, well, it's
cold up there, no matter what. Every once in a while we are getting a whiff
of it down here, thanks to the jet stream and the like.

And I was trying to remember what hooha was going on in Quebec with regard
to a store and I believe that Walmart employees (ptui, hate Walmart)
wanted to form a union (ptui, hate unions), so Walmart fired them all. Or
shut down the store, which would have the same effect on hourly employees.

One Yank company that doesn't do well up here is those god-awful Krispy
Kreme things.....YUCK!! We will stick to Tim Horton's and ignore those. I
do believe they have shut down their Cdn. stores. KK, I mean.

Off to make a Jamaican fish dinner.....beats an imaginary chicken any day,
LOL!!

The chicken aren't imaginary at all, just that I have to tend to them, and
they surely taste better than the store bought ones. Might even be combative
with your Jamaican fish dinner, if not better.

Heh-heh. The KK that opened up nearby to us (in the little strip mall across
Prospect AV from the Westgate West mall) close after about six months. The
Safeway bakery in the Westgate mall (across Saratoga AV from Westgate West)
has better donuts.

McDonald's bought the KK store, and moved from their ancient facility in
Westgate West. Certainly an improvement over Krispy Kreme.

Hmmmm - are you in need of Red Cross parcels over there? - it's the only
situation in which I can conceive of McD's being better than anything else!

We have many more choices than just "Mickey D's". But this is in reference
to a Krispy Kreme failue. A company selling vinyl discs (remember those?),
called, "The Wherehouse", went under a few of years ago. Building sat empty
a couple of years, then was suddenly demolished. When a new building was
started, a sign proclaimed that it would be a Krispy Kreme. Failed after six
months, or so. Then McDonald's bought the building and remodeled it to suit
their operation.

McDonald's is the last place I would eat; but it is better than Krispy Kreme
any day of the year.
